One of our main tasks is the best possible rehabilitation of our patients and re-integration into normal and pleasant everyday life. The patience, resolution and empathy of the whole team under the medical supervision of chief physician Dr. Henry Puff are crucial factors for achieving this.
Parallel to this, we place great value on appropriate preventive measures to preserve health. From individual movement programmes which can also be continued at home without any problems to nutritional tips which can be formulated at the patient’s request.
Patients value one-to-one remedial gymnastics, which are carried out with specialist competence, friendliness and flexibility. The hydrostatic pressure in the water pools is used to positive effect, and has a relieving effect on the postural and supportive apparatus. Patients can perform exercises in water which are only possible, if at all, outside the water while causing pain. Movement in water raises mobility, lowers blood pressure and inhibits stress hormones. The warm water dilates the blood vessels and promotes blood flow, stimulates breathing, relieves pain and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
Objectives of Rehabilitation
• Swift individual re-integration into the former social and occupational environment
• Recovery of normal function
• Improvement of mobility
• Pain reduction
• Motivating independent secondary prevention
• Compensation training to overcome problems of daily life.
ALL-ROUND CARE
After booking in and being shown his or her room, the patient first goes to the outpatients department of the Rehabilitation Centre. You are cordially welcomed by friendly and extremely competent certified nurses, who then give you a brief explanation about the organisation of the Rehabilitation Centre.
The staff of the outpatient rehabilitation department are not only your contact persons for admission and booking in but also carry out all the necessary nursing activities from 7 am to 6 pm non stop. Under medical supervision they change dressings, administer medication and take blood.
The intensive co-operation between the rehabilitation clinic and the orthopaedic surgery department II of the private clinic is a special quality feature . A second feature is the comprehensive, round-the-clock care by the certified nurses, which can hardly be found in any other institution.
